My Care has an in-dash DVD player and I have two monitors headrest in the car and two dozen hundred-watt Rockford Fosgate amplifier. My monitor headrest on the right side seems to have sufficient power when playing the DVD.

A battery powered Honda or equivalent is good enough to run the system. Your most likely problem is that the lack of voltage signal from the head unit (a bit like having most TVs out a tab in your home). You can buy a good quality splitter / amplifier signal for companies like Clarion, etc. Also, make sure not to damage the cable on the screen at the same time make the seat and headrest. Lastly, check power and ground connections and the signal to the control box (if, that is, the Alps)
